DRAGON DAEMON

The dragon is an alchemical symbol of the transformation through chaos into integration. They represent the union of opposites. These are powerful members of the psyche's entourage. Depicted here, they represent fierce love and support in the process of evolution. In the magical story, "The Golden Compass" by Philip Pullman, each character has a daemon, which is the animal manifestation of their soul. In one painting the dragon protects the dreamer, in another it lies dormant yet peaceful awaiting the soul's awakening. In yet another image the dragon is clearly the daemon of the young woman with a flush of determination on her cheeks and in the final image, we see the water dragon, dancing with the blood moon.
